Driving Lessons – Terms & Conditions
1. Lessons & Instruction
All driving lessons are provided by a qualified driving instructor and are carried out in accordance with current road traffic laws and recognised driving standards. Lessons are provided for tuition purposes only.
2. Booking & Payment
All lessons must be booked in advance.
Payment is required before or at the start of each lesson, unless otherwise agreed.
Block bookings must be paid in full in advance.
If a block booking is cancelled, any unused lessons will be refunded. Lessons already taken will be charged at the normal hourly rate.
All refunds are subject to the cancellation policy below.
3. Cancellations & Missed Lessons
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a lesson.
Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, will be charged in full.
The instructor reserves the right to cancel lessons due to illness, vehicle problems or adverse weather conditions. In such cases, the lesson will be rearranged at no additional cost.
4. Punctuality
Lessons will start and finish at the agreed time.
If the pupil is late, the lesson may still end at the scheduled time.
If the instructor is late, the missed time will be added to the lesson where possible.
5. Conduct & Safety
Pupils must follow the instructor’s guidance at all times for safety reasons.
Lessons may be terminated without refund if a pupil behaves in a dangerous, abusive or inappropriate manner.
Lessons will not take place if the pupil is under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any medication that may impair driving ability.
6. Use of Instructor’s Vehicle
The instructor’s vehicle is fully insured for driving tuition.
Pupils are responsible for any damage caused as a result of negligence or failure to follow instructions.
7. Driving Tests
Use of the instructor’s vehicle for a driving test is subject to the instructor’s approval.
The instructor reserves the right to refuse use of the vehicle if they believe the pupil is not test-ready or may pose a safety risk.
8. Liability
Every effort is made to ensure lessons are conducted safely. However, the instructor cannot be held responsible for incidents caused by third parties or circumstances beyond their control.
9. Data Protection
Any personal information provided by pupils will be kept confidential and used only for the purpose of lesson administration.
10. Acceptance of Terms
By booking and attending driving lessons, the pupil confirms they have read, understood and agreed to these terms and conditions.
